Earthquake Rattles Coastal Area Near Los Angeles

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake recently struck near Malibu, California, at around 7:28 a.m. The quake caused shaking throughout parts of the Los Angeles area, as far as Ventura County and even Orange County, though no major damage or injuries have been reported. The quake triggered smaller aftershocks and dislodged boulders onto a road near Malibu. This earthquake, though strong, is considered typical for Southern California.
